range, and the new 36-inch
double-oven range.
Induction hobs transform kitchen
effi ciency. Using the latest energy
transmission technology, they heat
up faster, and save energy. They are
cleaner too. As the cooking zone and
hob do not get hot, spilt food is easily
removed and cannot ‘bake’ on to the
cooking surface.
SAVING ENERGY
With conventional electric hobs, a lot of
energy is wasted as the heat generated
in the element is transmitted to the pan
via the cooking surface.
With an induction hob, the heat is
generated directly in the bottom of
the cookware and transferred to its
contents. There is no waste of stored
or residual heat, and practically all the
energy is used to heat the pan. Also,
there is no waiting for elements to heat
up; full power is available immediately.
An induction hob wins against gas
as well. It is safer, it heats pans 40%
faster, and overall is 20% more energy
effi cient.
PRECISION PERFORMANCE

induction cooktops have fi ve fl exible
cooking zones, with the largest
two at the back. This arrangement
accommodates full-size cookware and
makes it easy to prepare a wide range
of different dishes very quickly with
minimal energy output.
The induction-generated heat comes
from exceptionally responsive power
generators. The fi ve induction zones
have electronic controls with an output
level of 9300 watts. Residual heat
indicators warn if the hob is hot, even
when the zone is switched off.
Other special functions such as the
booster make cooking with Bertazzoni
induction such a pleasure. Each
induction zone has variable low-to-high
power, and a pot detection system. With
wear-resistant glass ceramic top and
no knobs, hobs are very easy to clean.
