THE TECNOLOGY
With induction cooking, a magnetic
fi eld instantly transforms your cookware
into the heat source - and an extremely
effi cient one at that.
How induction cooking works:
1. The coil produces a high-frequency
electromagnetic fi eld.
2. The electromagnetic fi eld penetrates
the metal of the ferrous (magnetic
material) cooking vessel and generates
heat.
3. The heat generated in the cooking
vessel is transferred to the vessel’s
contents.
4. Nothing outside the vessel is
affected by the electromagnetic fi eld
- as soon as the vessel is removed from
the element, or the element is turned
off, heat generation stops.
YOUR COOKWARE
Because they work with a magnetic
fi eld, induction cooktops can only be
used with ferrous metal cookware
such as stainless steel, cast-iron, and
enamelled steel. Please note that
aluminium, copper, and pyrex cookware
do not work on an induction cooker.
